There is an auditorium within the Parx Casino/Racetrack in Bensalem and we visited it over the weekend. I have been to 100's of shows and this was my least favorite venue. I may sound like a Debbie Downer but I wont go back to Parx to see a show. It is a fire hazzard which leads once again to the point that the staff was not prepared to handle a large crowd. I thought it was bizarre that security or the people who worked there didnt make them get out of the aisle. Then there ended up being alot of people trying to watch the show in the aisle. They were super annoying because they were blocking everyones view of the stage. Seriously though who wants to drink BUD/BUD LIGHT? We had great seats but there was a couple who thought that it was ok to stand in the aisle and watch the show. There was 1 woman doing her best with a man pouring drinks into plastic cups. There were 100's of people waiting to get a drink to take into the concert. The staff except for security did not seem prepared for a concert. I'm not even sure where to begin.We went to see Jerry Cantrell who we have seen many times. Regretfully I write this with dissapointment.Parx Excite Center is not the place to see a show. I’m just disappointed because I’ve never had a bad meal there before, but I think more so in this economy, I get it prices are high for everybody, but I’d rather know that I’m getting a nice big plate of food, even if I have to pay more for it. My husband and son had a seafood pasta with red sauce and they said it was good but not great. My daughters boyfriend’s steak and garlic mashed potatoes. Lobster ravioli didn’t taste same and appeared smaller. If I’m going to pay $24 for a meal, I would like a decent portion. Veal piccata portion smaller then usual, piccata sauce made with too much flour, and the penne pasta portion was half of what we used to get. disgrace, I’d rather have a price raised but I know that I can at least get what we were accustomed to. I do know the calamari was 1/3 of the usual amount provided for $12.50, I had to ask for them to put more on. Service was great however they’ve made their portions smaller and kept the prices.
